& Program Director
The challenge was to revitalize a radio station that had changed
formats several times, and establish credibility with information
programming on a limited budget. Our major feat was live, 24 hour
programming for 18 days during the 1998 ice storm. At times we
were broadcasting using candles and a stand-by generator for the
transmitter. The station has since changed to an all-news format.
Program
Director
Responsible for program and operations of Montreals largest
English adult radio station. I also researched, wrote and did
on-air presentation of daily Business Reports, and occasional
announcing work. Im particularly proud of Quebecs
first English language all-party political debate which I organized,
involving the four Quebec party leaders at that time. Some program
innovations I introduced are still used on air today. [Photo]

I was the "idea" and "implement" Manager for
all on-air programming in the station re-launch with talk programming.
This included development and operations and development of the
Montreal Canadiens radio network with the legendary Dick Irvin
and Danny Gallivan, and Montreal Expos radio network with Duke
Snyder and Dave Van Horne. Who says you cant have fun with
talk? We staged demonstrations, organized rallies and fund-raising
events, and even snuck through security at Montreal City Hall
to present then Mayor Jean-Drapeau with a live on-air birthday
surprise! [Photo]
